Leonard Joseph Palumbo

It is with a heavy heart that we must notify family and friends of the passing of Leonard (Lenny) Joseph Palumbo, who suddenly passed away on February 8, 2025, after a 3 year battle with Cancer.

A lifelong resident of Port Arthur, Texas, Leonard was born on December 29, 1951, to Joseph and Doris Palumbo, who predeceased him.

Leonard worked as an electrical engineer and was retired from Total Energies.

Leonard proudly served in the United States Air Force and also enjoyed performing music at local venues with friends.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Brenda Palumbo, of Port Arthur and his sister Odessa Palumbo Spikes and husband Jeff Spikes of Groves.

Leonard leaves behind two stepsons, Eric Scott O'Quinn of Lumberton and Christopher O'Quinn of Beaumont, brother-in-law Jimmy Hubert, and his wife, Sharon, of Woodville, three nieces—Monica Hubert, Hannah Patterson, Chloe Spikes, and two nephews - Tyler Spikes and Aaron Hubert, along with three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of life for immediate family and close friends at a later date.

Lenny and I grew up together in Port Arthur on Ave A. We ran the roads in his 56 (I think) chevy always. We hung out with many good friends in our early years. Brenda and Dinah were just our girls back then. As many we all went our ways as we grew older but I will never ever forget our good times. RIP my friend.

There are some great memories of Lenny and his mischievous sense of humor, and that laugh. It was wonderful growing up behind him in Griffin Park.
