LeRoy Paul Myers, 93, of Groves, Texas passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019. LeRoy was born July 29, 1925 in Oliver, Louisiana to Sidney Myers and Ada Carpenter Myers. He was a resident of Groves for 61 years before moving to Port Neches 4 years ago. LeRoy retired as a machinist from Gulf Oil after 38 years of service. He was a member of the United Methodist Temple and VFW Post 4820. LeRoy proudly served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He and his wife, Dorothy enjoyed traveling extensively. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. LeRoy was helpful to everyone and gave vegetables out of his garden to all. He had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed. LeRoy was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Myers, and his son Russell Myers. Survivors include his daughter, Janice Myers McCollum and life partner Jerry Mantellini of Port Neches; two grandchildren, Angella Betar of San Antonio, and Michael Lee and wife Erica of Bridge City; and great-grandchild, Aubree Lee. Private graveside services will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
