LeRoy Alois Saatzer

LeRoy Alois Saatzer, 90, of Nederland, Texas passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Oak Grove Nursing Home.

He was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota on August 8, 1930 to Rudolph Bernard Saatzer and Henrietta Grundhoefer Saatzer.

LeRoy had lived in this area for 70 years and was retired as Chief Inspector for The City of Port Arthur.

LeRoy played baseball for the Port Arthur Seahawks. He was a lifetime honorary member of the Umpire Association and was a referee for the World Football League.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Saatzer and Patrick Saatzer.

LeRoy is survived by three daughters, Edris Allen and husband James of Groves, TX, Andra Graham and husband Will of Nederland, TX, Carrie Wall and husband Mike of Tomball, TX, son, Terry Saatzer and wife Cathy of Groves, TX, sister, Mary Lou Frericks of St. Cloud, MN, brothers, Don Saatzer of St. Cloud, MN, Ron Saatzer of St. Cloud, MN, and Richard "Pickles" Saatzer of St. Cloud, MN, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
