Obituary
Leslie James Burke, 58 of Groves, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013. Leslie was born August 4, 1955 in Port Arthur, Texas to Eddie Burke and Helen Hebert Burke. He was a lifelong resident of Groves, retired contractor and member of the Catholic faith. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Burke of Groves; daughter Summer Kinsey; step-daughter, Tara Shiflet of Port Arthur; step-son, Troy Shiflet of Groves; three grandchildren, Allen Shiflet, Aiden Kinsey and Grant Kinsey. A memorial service will be at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas .

Aunt Cindy, My prayers are with you and the family, I will miss Uncle Les soo much, he was always fun, funny, serious, and loving....Im so thankful that he did not suffer, and now he is with his family in heaven, WE WILL SEE HIM AGAIN!!! I LOVE YOU, HANG IN THERE!! Summer, its hard I know to lose your Dad, if you need ANYONE to talk to or ANYTHING you call me pls 512-552-2596. My Dr. said that he doesnt want me to travel right now, so Im sorry I cant make the service, but know that I do love you all and will miss Uncle Les very much!!

Cindy and Family, You are in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. I know Les is at peace now, not suffering and in no pain; however, my heart aches for your loss.
