Lester Louis Marioneaux, 86, of Groves, Texas passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017. Lester was born October 15, 1930 in Monroe, Louisiana to Alvin Louis Marioneaux and Mary Lee Tullier Marioneaux. Lester was a longtime area resident and retired as an electrician from IBEW #479 after 46 years of service. Lester proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Katreen Marioneaux of Groves; three sons, Ronald Louis Marioneaux, Eric Clark Marioneaux , David Wayne Marioneaux and wife Erin all of Groves; two brothers, Melvin Marioneaux and Richard Marioneaux both of Port Neches; three grandchildren, Brayden Austin Marioneaux and Beau Travis Marioneaux both of Groves and Alexander Marioneaux of South Carolina. A visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 5, 2017 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Lester was such a sweet and kind man who made me feel so welcome when I became his daughter-in law coming over from England. My prayers are with Katreen and family , he will be sadly missed by all.

Thank you, Lester, for being a part of my life. I have the fondest memories of you and Katreen, having such fun w you all when I was growing up in Port Arthur. Your presence was always accomoanied by the greatest of smiles, and your kindness and humor and good heart were always a welcome sight! You are already missed. Love. Light. Eternal Peace.
