Letha Irene Collins, 99, of Groves, Texas passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at Magnolia Manor. Letha was born February 21, 1913 in Alto, Texas to Basil W.Landrum and Willie Robinson Landrum. She was a resident of Groves for 57 years and member of Val Verde Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her sons, C. C. Wallace, Jr. and Rayford Wallace. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Lumpkin and husband, Larry of Nederland, TX, Janice Borel and husband, Larry of Baytown, TX; one son, Jerry Wallace and wife, Jerry J. of New Caney, TX; two sisters, Veda Thibodeaux of China, TX, Eva Rae Nance and husband, F. C. Nance of Alto, TX; one brother, Donald Landrum and wife, Carlene of Palestine, TX; twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 11, 2012 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Rick Koonce officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
