Letha Hunt McLemore, 92, of Nederland passed away December 12, 2015 at Oak Grove Nursing Home. She was born on May 24, 1923 to the late Eugene Wiseman Hunt and Ethel Northrip Hunt in Leedy, Oklahoma. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Nederland and past member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Jasper, TX. She was also a member of the Poetry Society of Texas and member and past president of the Beaumont Poetry Society.

Letha is survived by her daughters; Elaine Hinson and husband, Larry of Port Neches, TX, Janice Christopher and husband, Jimmy of Needville, TX, Joyce Sposito and husband, Billy of Hudson, FL; sons, Letcher McLemore and wife, Carolyn of Jasper, TX, Wayne McLemore and wife, Mary Lynn of Luling, LA, Donald McLemore and wife, Sandy of Port Arthur, TX; 12 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Letha was preceded in death by her husband, James W. McLemore and daughter, Irma Jean McLemore.

A visitation will be Monday, December 14, 2015, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Nederland at 10:00 a.m. Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. at Zion Hill Cemetery in Jasper, TX.
