Lilah Chelette West, 91, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 at Magnolia Manor in Groves, Texas. Lilah was born February 9, 1925 in DeRidder, Louisiana to Daniel Thomas Chelette and Mary Elizabeth Bagwell Chelette. She was a homemaker, and formerly resided in Groves for 60 years before moving to Port Neches 20 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A West; two sons, Frank A. West, Jr. and Steve Allen West. Survivors include her son, Gary West and his wife Marie of Port Neches; brother, Maxwell Chelette and his wife Bessie of Groves; grandchildren, Lee West and his wife Nikki, and Traci Cates and her husband Brian; great-grandchildren, Carli Cates, Natalee West, Rylee West, and Mason West. A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, July 11, 2016 at Woodlawn Cemetery in DeRidder, Louisiana.
