Lillian Lorraine Bass, 86, of Nederland, Texas passed away November 17, 2010 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. She was born July 4, 1924 in Little Rock Arkansas to the late Sam and Lillian Brown Bass. She worked for the Port Arthur News for 20 years as a distributor.She is survived by her son, Michael Bass and Susanna of Beaumont 3 daughters, Pat Bass Ellender and husband, Tommy of Westlake, Louisiana, Nan Bass Gregg of Port Neches, and Ann Bass Butaud and husband, Jimbo of Fannett brother, Ray Lewis Bass of Jennings, Louisiana 18 grandchildren and 42 greatgrandchildren.She is preceded in death by her husband, Hartford Lee Bass, Sr. parents and 2 sons, Hartford Lee quotPetequot Bass, Jr. and Ronald Lynn Bass.A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, November 19, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland. Funeral services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
