Lillian Chatagnier Richard

Lillian Chatagnier Richard, 96, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Christus St. Mary Hospital. Lillian was born January 16, 1914 in Coppers Cove, Texas to John Henry Jansen and Minnie Schmidt Jansen. She was a lifelong area resident and retired from Southern Life & Health Insurance Company after 37 years of service as a cashier. She was also a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00a.m., Saturday, August 14, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with Reverend Monsignor Bennie Patillo officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 4:00p.m.-8:00p.m., and a Vigil Service at 5:00p.m. with Deacon Jim Gard officiating at the funeral home. Survivors include her daughter, Roxy Burrows and husband, James of Vinton, LA; son, Brook Chatagnier and wife, Helen of Port Neches, TX; step-son, Donald Richard and wife, Ann of Groves, TX; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
