Lillie Jo Roccaforte Reeves, 80, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the Medical Center of SETX in Port Arthur. Lillie was born on October 28, 1936 in Port Arthur to the late Sebastian Roccaforte and Mary Virginia Zumo Roccaforte. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, Alter Society and Lector. Lillie lived in Nederland for 61 years and retired as an Office Manager in the medical field.
Lillie is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Gerald “Shorty” Reeves, Sr. of Nederland; daughter, Judy Morrison and husband, Jerry of Lumberton; grandchildren, Justin Morrison and wife, Britney, Jana Zant and husband, Casey, Heather Reeves, Jeremy Reeves and wife, Paige; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Tucker and Tyler Morrison, Cooper Zant, Hunter and Paisley Reeves. Lillie is preceded in death by her parents and son, Gerald Reeves, Jr.
There will be gathering of family and friends on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. prayed by Deacon Ivan Watson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with Rev. Shane Baxter officiating. The interment will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
The Pallbearers will be Joe Nicotre, Bruce Guarnere, Dale Mirabella, Brian Mirabella, Gary Schauerman, Jack Pelloat, Ronnie Mirabella and James Hauck. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Morrison, Justin Morrison, Jeremy Reeves, Casey Zant, Hunter Reeves, Hunter Morrison, Tucker Morrison, Tyler Morrison, Cooper Zant and Rick Placette.
