Lillie Ruth Wersig, 61, of Groves passed away on November 9, 2012. She was born in Port Arthur on March 15, 1951 to the late Rudolph De Los Santos and Lydia Ontiveros. Lillie was a lifelong area resident and was a member of the Lutheran faith, and a 1969 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. She was employed as an inventory coordinator for Market Basket.Lillie is survived by husband, Butch Wersig daughters, Vanessa LaLonde and husband Cris of Kerrville Miranda Dishman and husband Herb of China sisters, Esma Breaux and husband Darryl of Groves Eloise Gallagher of Baytown brother, Richard De Los Santos and wife Dee Dee of Houston. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Michael, Aaron, Eric, Zoie, Adam, Hailey, Mark, Abram, Amanda, Kailar, and HaydonLillie is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Rudy De Los Santos, and her brothernlaw, Mike Gallagher.Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday November 13, 2012 at Melancons Funeral Home 1605 Avenue H in Nederland with Rev. Richard De Los Santos officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 12:00 Noon until the funeral.Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn: For they will be comforted.We prayed for restoration from the cancer and the Lord has made her brand new in Heaven.

Butch and familyLillie was a dear sweet person that will be missed sorely but all who knew her....She was a valued employee for me in my Gibson days...And at times a counselor to me to get through those gibson days I know she has to be laughing at that I have been praying for her every since We found out about her Cancer..Butch..It took her life but it did not take her spirit..Even in her sickness she still had the prettiest smile she was so famous for...Warren King comes in at fedex and kept me up on what was going on...She and you will be ou prayers..Lots of Love Ron and Rosa Landry
