Lilly Mary Arnaud Rensland March 28, 1932 - September 23, 2019 "Mawmaw Lilly" was always ready with a welcoming smile, hot coffee and dessert. She celebrated 66 wedding anniversaries with her husband, Bill, with whom she raised four children. She enjoyed visiting with peoplefamily, friends and neighborsand made each person feel special. Lilly took great pride in keeping her home spotlessly clean, maintaining a beautiful garden and making sure no one left her home with an empty stomach. She loved her family above everything and took care to celebrate each child, grandchild and great-grandchild individually on birthdays and on holidays. She would always select a card and write in a personal message (with quotation marks so it was as if she was speaking to the person!). Lilly Renslands love extends through four generations that will remember her as an example of patience and service. Lilly Mary was born to Gussie and Ezola Arnaud of Arnaudville, Louisiana on March 28, 1932. Lilly graduated from Arnaudville High School and went on to attend Port Arthur College studying business. Her college neighbor was Bill Rensland, whom she married on April 18, 1953. Bill and Lilly enjoyed going to dinner theaters, taking short bus trips, camping in their trailer or at their lodge on the lake. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Ezola Arnaud, brothers , Felix, Harry, Wilton, Moise, Wilson, Pete, Neely, and Sister Shirley. My wife and I always enjoyed our visits, albeit brief, with Aunt Lilly. Her smile was only outdone by her laugh! She seemed to have a knack for making people feel special. If Heaven has a Greeter, they should be nervous ;) Lord, thank you for Aunt Lilly, and for sharing her with the rest of us. Please comfort Bill, Kathy, Jeanine, Phillip and Mark, and the many others touched by her. She will be missed.

Aunt Lilly was the sweetest lady I ever met. Her warm hugs and infectious laugh made everyone feel loved. Growing up I remember playing in the "sprinklers" in the back yard, playing Hungry Hippo, Thanksgiving holidays and of course all the desserts. I love you, Lilly.

Bill, Kathy, Jeanine, Phillip and Mark, we were saddened to hear about the passing of Lilly. She was such a wonderfully kind, sweet and joyful person, and the best neighbor anyone could hope to have. We won't be able to attend her funeral service because of distance. However, you will be in our thoughts and prayers.
