Glenn Jr. and Shane I am sorry to hear of your sweet mother passing. I have many memories of staying with your mother when Glenn was born. Your dad worked nights and I would stay with her overnight in the house on 32nd street. All of my memories of her are happy ones and I pray you have many to comfort you now.. Well she is up there with dad and smiling and laughing all the while as she is in God' presence. Love to you and all your family.

It's hard to quantify a 35-40 year friendship into just a few words. From the time I met Linda "Moozie" back in the 70's until I saw her last it was a roller coaster of fun and laughter. We even laughed through the hard times. Midnight travels while eating and laughing all the way to our destination. Cleaning some of the dirtiest houses you've ever seen. Shopping at every outlet mall, garage sale, flea market and swap meet from coast to coast. Ice cream snacks anytime we felt like it. But no matter what or where........always laughter. Even the most mundane or simple thing could be turned into the ridiculous and fun. Oh, how we all laughed and how all our lives were so blessed by your friendship. When your friends at your funeral are laughing through tears, singing songs and telling stories of your crazy antics all from the sheer joy of having known you, I'd say you had a life well lived and we're all the better for having known you. Until we meet again, my sweet hilarious friend, on that "beautiful shore" in "Sweet Beulah Land".....God Speed. I love you dearly.

Immediate Family of Linda Smith Mullenix - I am a 1st cousin of hers and I want to send condolences to all of her children's families. My parents moved us 4 Dempseys to NC when I was just 15 years old - but I still do remember Linda and her brother Bobby--they weren't that much older than me. She was so sweet when we would all gather at Grandma Dempsey's home in Greer, SC on Sundays after church services. Please know that you're all in my thoughts and prayers as you go thru this sad time. Just know that she is in a much better place now. Sincerely, Martha (Dempsey) Ellis Timberlake, NC
