Linda Fay Newsom

Linda Fay Newsom, 74, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born September 25, 1946 to Earl Morris and Stella Mae Odom Morris.

Linda was retired as a designer from Sylvia's Florist after more than 20 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Nina Crutchfield and brother, Raymond Earl Morris.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Stacy Alexander of Port Arthur, TX, two sons, Richard Newsom of Port Arthur, TX and Lonnie Newsom of Port Arthur, TX, sisters, Cherry Moss of Buna, TX, and June Sawyer and husband Henry of Spurger, TX and four grandchildren, Terry Alexander, Jr., Jeremy Alexander, Travis Newsom and Caleb Newsom.

To honor Linda, the family is planning memorial services for a later date, due to Covid 19.

My condolences to her family and friends. I had the great honor of meeting this wonderful lady many years ago, and would go visit her and we'd talk for hours. She will be greatly missed by anyone who knew her.
