Linda M. Parent, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, 78, of Nederland, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022, in Houston, Texas. Linda was born September 30, 1943, in Port Arthur, Texas to Mae and Thomas Rivers.
Linda was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Red Hat Society. She was a graduate of Bishop Byrne High School and retired after twenty years of service in the banking industry.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Mae E. (Johnson) Rivers and Thomas Leonard Rivers; brothers, Rudolph Rivers and Wilbert Rivers.
Those left to cherish Linda’s memory are her husband of sixty-years, Robert Parent of Nederland; son, David Parent and his wife, Kelly of Boerne, TX; granddaughters, Faith Marie Parent of Kansas City, MO; and Grace Ann Parent of Boerne, TX.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a service to begin at 6:00 p.m., at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland.
Ms. Linda's wishes were to be cremated following her service.
