Linda Sue Whitley, 55, of Orange, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas.
Linda was born on August 17, 1967, in Brooklyn, New York to Miriam Nieves Hebert and Ronald David Hebert, Sr. She was a L.V.N. with Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Groves and a member of the Groves Community Seventh Day Adventist Church in Groves, Texas. Linda loved going to concerts with her family and friends often going out of state to see one of her favorite performers. She loved going to the beach but most of all she loved her family; especially her dog Sophie.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-four years, Michael Whitley of Orange; two daughters, Holly Nguyen and husband Minh of Groves and Heather Whitley and her husband Killian Manning of Vidor; her father, Ronald David Hebert, Sr. of Port Arthur, Texas; sister, Deborah Ann Hardy of Port Arthur; her brother Ronald David Hebert, Jr. of Port Acres; grandchildren, Kaydence Manning, Brynnen Manning, McKenzie Manning, Jackson Manning, Blace Garza, Lilah Nguyen and Levi Nguyen; mother and father-in-law, Mike and Nita Whitley of Hillister, Texas; niece, Cheyenne Hebert; two great nieces, Allison Dugas and Madison Buchanan; and her companion, her dog Sophie. Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Miriam Hebert and her niece, Terry Ann Hardy.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2022, at the Groves Community Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 2701 W. Parkway, Groves, TX 77619. Arrangements are under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.
