Lisa Mujica Cruz

      Lisa Mujica Cruz, 42, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Lisa was born on September 12, 1981 in Port Arthur, Texas to Fernando Cruz, Sr. and Carlota (Hernandez) Cruz.

      Lisa was a beloved daughter, mother, sister and friend. She was a faithful member of Iglesia Alfa y Omega in Port Arthur. Lisa’s faith in her Lord and Savior kept her strong until the very end. She was the BEST Mom and sister anyone could ask for. Lisa loved and cared for everyone that came into her life. She had a love of watching sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros.

      Those left to cherish Lisa’s memory include her loving husband of 26.5 years, Julio C. Mujica of Port Arthur; her beloved children, Cesar Noe Mujica Cruz, David Mujica Cruz, Joselynn Mujica Cruz and Benjamin Mujica Cruz; parents, Carlota Hernandez Cruz and Fernando Cruz, Sr.; siblings, Hipolito Cruz and wife Araceli, Ana L. Castro Cruz and husband Antonio; Martha I. Lara Cruz and husband Rene Lara; Fernando Cruz, Jr. and wife Sulma Mujica; Daniel Cruz and a host of extended family and friends.

      A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, TX 77627. A Celebration of Lisa’s Life will begin at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Breath of Life Ministry Church, 3700 Proctor St., Port Arthur, TX 77642. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
