Lloyd Emmett McLin

1950 ∼ 2021

Lloyd Emmett McLin left this Earth to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Born in Beaumont, TX on January 21, 1950, he was the son of Lloyd "Red" McLin and Betty (Edwards) McLin. Lloyd graduated from Vidor High School and enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam War. During his time in the army, he was stationed in both Vietnam and Germany as part of the 101st Airborne Division.

He married the love of his life on January 31, 1981 and together they grew a beautiful family. Lloyd enjoyed studying history, reading his Bible, and spending time with his family.

He had recently been confirmed in the Catholic Church and enjoyed attending mass with his wife at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches, TX.

He will be fondly remembered for his amazing crawfish boils and how he would ever so slightly increase the television volume while his wife and daughters were talking near him.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dolores, his three children, Lisa, Stefanie (Matthew), and Ryan, and his grandchildren, Zoren, Aubrey, Olive, and Mateo, who he was so very proud of. Please keep his family in your prayers as they navigate life without their beloved husband, daddy, and Papa.

A visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with a rosary service to begin at 7:00 p.m.

Pall bearers will be Ryan McLin, Matthew Monk, Kevin DeLeon, Michael Downs, Dylan Theriot, and Chase Dodson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with Reverend Jim McClintock officiating. The burial will be at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Beaumont.

My deepest condolences to the family. I did not know Mr. Lloyd personally, but his daughter Lisa. She is such a joy and a blessing to be around and has such an amazing heart. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during this difficult time..... when you lose someone you love, you gain an angel you know.

I did not know Mr. Emmett, but his daughter and wife. He had to have been a great man to have such great women alongside him. My heart goes out to them, but they know he is with God and are confident in his reward!

I did not know Mr. McLin personally but I know of his legacy. I'm proud to be a friend of Lisa's and know the impact of his life continues to be a blessing because of the woman he raised her to be. She has impacted my life in wonderful ways! Also, being the daughter of a Screaming Eagle from the same time, it's obvious this man, "[led] the way." May our Prince of Peace and the Spirit of Comfort be with y'all in the moments until y'all are reunited, face to face.
