Locksley Edwin Parsons, 85, of Groves, Texas passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022, at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Groves.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m., Friday May 27, 2022, at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.

Born in Mount Pleasant, Cayman Islands, BWI, on March 24, 1937. He was the son of Reginald Benson Parsons and Effie Henning Parsons. Locksley lived in Groves for fifty-two years where he worked for National Meritime Union as a seaman for thirty-five years. He was a member of Providence Church of Groves.

He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-five years, Lilly Parsons, and son Richard L. Parsons

He is survived by his daughter; Lana McRoberts and husband Dank of Lumberton; two grandchildren, Christina McRoberts Yu and husband Yank and Douglas McRoberts.

Serving as pallbearers will be Freddison Parsons, Doug McRoberts, Dank McRoberts, Kenny Bodden and Don Bodden.

Uncle Locksley you were always the life of the party and a wonderful and special uncle. I still remember our family trip in 1973 to your home and my family visit in 2001. We last saw you on your last visit to Cayman with Daphne. You always had a smile and we're the life of the party. You're now with your beloved Daphne, Ricky, Dad and all your brothers and sisters. You will be missed. RIP.
