Lois Burke

Lois Burke, 85, of Port Neches, Texas passed away June 13, 2010 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. She was born July 30, 1924 in Orange, Texas to the late Charles A. and Alma Foster Broomes. Lois was a retired antique dealer, loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed deeply by all.Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Morris Burke of Port Neches daughter, Melba Sturrock 2 grandsons, Stephen T. Sturrock and wife, Holly and Scott G. Sturrock granddaughter, Sharon R. Sturrock and husband, Jimmy Harris 5 great granddaughters and one greatgreat grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents and son John C. Granger.A gathering of family and friends will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Rev. Adam Pardue officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland. Serving as pallbearers are Larry Granger, Mike Huddle, Tim Praznick, and Richard Zampini.
