Lois Swift

1953 ∼ 2017

It is with sadness that the family of Lois Swift announces her passing on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 64 years of age. She was born in Walden, Colorado, to the late, Martha and Willard Swift. She is survived by Conrad, Lily, Heide, Chloe and T-bone, the best dogs ever. She will be remembered lovingly by her husband, brother, sister, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephew and countless friends.

Lois was an inspiration to many and larger than life. In her teenage years she published an underground newspaper, was active in social causes and spent a short time residing in a hippy commune. In her adult life she enjoyed traveling, continuously learning and spending every free moment by a beach or in a pool. She loved taking care of the elderly in the nursing home or working in the hospital as a respiratory therapist, but found her true passion cooking with her brother. She fully lived every moment to the end, talking about her next tattoo, the renaissance festivals and concerts to come.

A Celebration of Lois' life will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Sneaky Pete's, 3900 Pure Atlantic Rd., Groves, TX. 77619.

"Well, a man's body may grow old, but inside his spirit can still be as young and as restless as ever." Secondhand Lions.

Loiswas a great lady. She taught me a lot when I first started working at the Gist Unit. We shared many personal conversations . We both suffered a great loss; her granddaughter Jackie and my son Brian.. She was a dedicated worker, loving person. I never knew if she would cuss us out at work or crack a joke. Sometimes she was quiet, but not often. I will miss her with all my heart. She's with her heavenly family now. We will meet again. Brenda Sleep
