Lola Francis Lange, 96, of Port Arthur, passed away November 2, 2015. She was born December 14, 1918, in Henry, LA to the late Richard Butaud and Mamie Moss Butaud. She was married to the late, Preston Lange.

She is survived by her sons, Derald Lange of Colmesneil, Preston Lange and wife, Betty Jo of Port Arthur, Ronnie Lange and wife, Bonnie of Port Arthur, Keith Lange and wife Kim of Beaumont; daughter, Brenda Lewis and husband, Roger of Hemphill; sisters Beverly Guidry of Abbeville, LA, Marlene Bordages of Fannett; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m., at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will held at Little Flower Catholic Church in Port Acres on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 10 a.m. Father Rejimon officiating.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time. Aunt Lola was such a sweet, kind, loving soul. She was all God wishes us to be in this life to gain life eternal with Him. She was such a role model to me as a mother and precious human being. The impact she has had on this earth is finally known to her. I made life choices because of the impact of many of our conversations and all those choices i now know were perfect for me. I wish I could be with all of you, but committments keep me away. Just know Aunt Lola is Home and engulfed in Love!!!!
