Loren Endsley of Port Arthur died on April 5, 2011. He was born in Orrick, Missouri in 1922 to Stanton R. Endsley and Alice Jacobs Endsley. He served in the Army Air Force for 3 1/2 years. After his discharge he attended the University of Texas. He graduated in 1948 and was employed by Gulf Oil Company of Port Arthur. He worked for 35 years and retired as a Vice President of the Gulf Oil Operations in Denver, Colorado in 1983. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Port Arthur. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen Bartlett; and his first wife, Jean Carter Endsley. He is survived by his wife, Lola Endsley; two daughters, Paula Auffurth and husband, Mike of Port Neches and Gayle Endsley and Gwen Ashba of Austin; granddaughter Erin Boudreaux and husband, Kyle of Nederland; grandson, Ethan Endsley of Austin. A visitation for family and friends will be at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves from 1:00 p.m.-2:00p.m., Monday, April 11, 2011. Funeral services will begin at 2:00p.m.with Reverend Christie Hale, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Port Arthur officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
