Lorence "Dot" Simon

Lorence “Dot” Simon, 94, of Groves, Texas passed January 12, 2020. She was born in Erath, Louisiana on June 3, 1925 to the late Otto Bourque and Eunice Cormier Bourque. Dot was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland,
Those left to cherish Dot’s memory are her sons, Bobby D. Simon and his wife Doris of Nederland and Nolan R. Simon and his wife Karen of Groves; her grandchildren, Shana Jordan and her husband, Stephen of Port Neches, Jason Simon of Nederland, Dawn Simon Johnson and her husband Tim of Nederland, Molli Hall and her husband Chris of Nederland, and James Simon and his wife Lacey of Groves; her great-grandchildren, Searah Starr, Kayden Johnson, Justin Simon, MacKenah Jordan, Whitney Jordan, Logan Simon, Andrew Hall, Eva Hall, Sophia Bean Simon and Sadie Simon; her great-great grandchild, Asher Spinks; her sister, Sherry Ann Martinez of Georgetown; and her sister-in-law, Arthurine Bourque of Port Arthur. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Loveless Joseph Simon.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Hughes celebrant. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
