Loretta Lestage Beresky, 68, of Groves, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 4, 1944 in Shreveport, Louisiana to John and Sybil Gamble Lestage. Loretta was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She was a registered nurse with 21 years of service at Park Place Hospital and 23 years as a home health nurse. Loretta belonged to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas and had a huge heart to care for animals. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2012 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Groves with Monsignor Kenneth Greig officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with a rosary service to begin at 6:00 p.m. Loretta is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bill Beresky, Sr. of Groves, two daughters, Julie White and husband, Kelly of Houston, and Johnette Segura and husband, Agustin of Fannett, son, Charles Beresky of Houston, step-son, Bill Beresky, Jr. of Port Acres, and three grandchildren, Ashton Segura, Kai Segura, and Cruz Segura. The family would like to express a special thanks to Altus Hospice for their kindness and compassion shown to our mother and family at this difficult time.

Johnette and Family, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Mrs. Beresky was such a loving, caring and beautiful person with a heart for everyone. I have very fond memories of her and how she always treated me like family. May God comfort you all and keep you during this difficult time.

Growing up Mrs Beresky was a mother to everyone of the neighborhood kids.. We all loved her and Bill like our own parents as they treated us like there own. We have lost a dear friend and a second mother but we will never forget the great memories we all have growing up together. Mrs Beresky will be dearly missed, was a wonderful woman and I will never forget all the things she did for us growing up. Bill, Charles, Johnette, and Julie, we love you guys like family and if you ever need anything we are here for you guys. Just remember the pain and suffering is over and she is in a much better Place!!

sorry i didt make it to the visitation because with my dad my mom and erney all were at levingston its hard for me to go to the funeral home brings back too many bad times may god be you at this time of need and if you need any assistance with paperwork or anything johnette please dont hesitate to call we did have great times when your mother was better sitting out on the patio with us or going out to eat as many next door neighbors do thanks for sharing her with me always melba
