Lori Lei Lyons Hemler, born on September 6, 1967, in Port Arthur, Texas, earned her wings on April 15, 2024.  She was a lifelong resident of Groves. Her presence will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

Lori was a distinguished graduate of PNG Class of 1986. She held a special place in the hearts of her classmates as a Rock-a-noo, class alumni, events organizer, and informant for their graduating class. Her dedication to keeping the class spirit alive was truly admirable.

Among her varied interests, Lori found great joy in traveling and weekend trips. These adventures nurtured her soul and provided endless moments of happiness that she cherished dearly.

Lori's proudest accomplishments were deeply rooted in her Baptist faith. She lived as a faithful follower of Jesus, finding strength and peace in her beliefs. Furthermore, Lori took immense pride in being a loving mother to her girls and a devoted Mawmaw and Lolei.

In the hearts of those who remain to cherish her memory are her  mother, Gayle Lyons; daughters: Kaci Block (Chase) of Port Neches, Karlei Hemler of Groves, Kaylei Hemler (Fiancé Dalton Lummus) of Beaumont, Kassidei Hemler of Groves; four grandchildren: Maddox Block, Callie Block, Austin Block, Blakelyn Hemler; brother Rocky Lyons (Juli) of Groves; numerous nieces and nephews along with other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Hotdog" Hemler; and father, D. P. Lyons.

A Visitation service to pay respects to Lori will be held on April 20, 2024, at Groves from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. The address is 5601 39th St., Groves, TX 77619. Officiating will be Pastor Nathan Baker of The Send Church in Nederland. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rocky Lyons, Stacy Allred, Shane Allred, Roney Wheeler, Randy Wheeler and Chase Block.  Honorary pallbearers are Dalton Lummus and Cade Lyons.
