Loron Ernest Truett

Loron Ernest Truett, 72, of Nederland, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015, in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on August 11, 1943, to the late Robert Truett and Marguerite Haston Truett-Phalen. Loron graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and attended Lamar College and San Jacinto College. He was a member of Pipefitters Local 195 and was a certified API 510 Inspector. Loron was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was also a member of the United Methodist Temple in Port Arthur, Texas. Loron is survived by his wife, Judith Truett; daughters, Stephanie Truett of Houston, and Tiffany Truett of Spring; son, Matthew Truett and his wife, Jana, of Nederland; sister, Priscilla Irvine and her husband, Ted of Port Arthur; and Loron's pride and joy, grandson, Rhett Thomas Truett of Nederland. Funeral services will be held at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Reverend Adam Muckleroy officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 PM at the Truett Family Cemetery in Jasper, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
