Lorraine Comeaux, 81, of Port Arthur, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Lorraine was born, November 25, 1933 in Port Arthur to the late Moise and Melia Melancon and lived all of her life in the Port Arthur area. Lorraine was along with her husband Roy were Co-Owners and operators of C. A. Turner Construction Company in Port Arthur. Lorraine was on the boards of Port City’s Rescue Mission, The United Board of Missions and the Alumni Association of Lamar State College Port Arthur.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 pm Saturday, January 3, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Msgr. Dan Malain officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 5 to 8 pm Friday evening with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm at St. Charles Catholic Church, 130 Hardy Street in Nederland.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Comeaux. She is survived by her daughter, Angelique Comeaux of Beaumont, and her son, Lee Comeaux and his wife, Stephanie of Nome; her sister, Beverly Salvagio of Nederland; two grandchildren, MacKenzie Comeaux, and Roy Lee Comeaux III, also several nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was a generous friend to many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Hospitality Center in Port Arthur.
