Lorraine L. Dupuis of Beaumont passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. She was born May 30, 1942 in Port Arthur to the late Laurent Landry and Stella Mestayer Landry.
She leaves behind her sons, Brian Blackwell and his wife, Dana of Nederland and Darren Blackwell of Nederland; her brother, Carroll Landry of Conroe; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a longtime friend and caregiver, Ronnie Deblance of Beaumont.
Lorraine grew up in Port Acres and graduated from S.F.A. High School in 1960 and was a proud cheerleader.
She worked as a secretary at St. Mary’s Hospital and Gulf States Utilities in Port Arthur.
Her last occupation was owner and operator of A.A.A. Appliance Shop in Beaumont until she retired in 2004. She was loved by many and will be truly missed. A special thanks to the Doctors, staff, and nurses at Julie and Ben Rogers Cancer Center in Beaumont.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Thursday, August 23, 2018. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland with Rev. Kevin D. Trinkle officiating. Services are under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home.
