Louis enjoyed a fulfilling career, having retired as the service manager from Firestone Tire and Rubber after 27 years of dedicated service. His commitment to hard work extended beyond his profession; he was known as a great carpenter and a master gardener, often sharing his beautiful creations with friends and family. Outside of his professional and community accomplishments, Louis had many hobbies that brought him joy. He was an avid fisherman who found peace and excitement afloat. Bowling brought him camaraderie through various leagues, while hunting provided moments in nature he cherished. Louis also enjoyed dancing and listening to Cajun music, memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who shared these experiences with him. He enjoyed traveling on bus trips with family and friends to Branson.
Louis' greatest joy came from his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Christine Campbell, who stood by him through every chapter of their lives. His legacy continues through his daughters, Lucine King and her husband Jim of Spring, TX, and Delena Frederick and her husband Todd of Nederland, TX.
