Louis Theodore Frantz

Louis T. Frantz of Groves, Texas died peacefully at home on September 7, 2010. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, he lived in Groves for 63 years. He was a lifelong Presbyterian and a member of Providence Church. Louis graduated from Tulane University in 1943 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked for Gulf Oil/Chevron for over 40 years. He loved music and was a very accomplished piano player. Louis is survived by his two daughters, Cindy Frantz of Albuquerque, NM and Becky Frantz Thompson and husband, Jim Thompson also of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, Ben and Lorin Thompson and five nieces. Later in life his caretakers Annie, Annie, Margaret and Avia became a beloved part of our family. Their kindness, love, and loyalty will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 10, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Dr. William C. "Clay" Faulk officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to: Providence Church, P.O.
