Louis Roy Ramirez

Louis Roy Ramirez passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 in Groves, Texas. Born in Port Arthur, Texas on July 7, 1952 to mother Refujia “Cuca” Ramirez and father Isabel M. Ramirez, Louis lived a full and beautiful life. He met the love of his life Nancy Ramirez and married her on November 11, 1990. They shared adventures and dreams for 31 years, and she will carry on his legacy of love and friendship. He has a daughter Christine Boone and a son James Hammond. Louis loved serving others, whether it was at church, in his community, or his family. He was a musician who loved collaborating with friends on musical projects and performing at local events, most recently a hospital in Lake Charles to provide music for hospital staff and patients during the pandemic. He enjoyed cooking, photography, and connecting with those he loved. He truly was a family man who made everyone he met a part of his family, and he is deeply missed. He is survived by wife Nancy, daughter Christine and her husband Ryan Boone, son James, his brother Robert Ramirez and wife Debbie, his brother Richard Ramirez and wife Debbie, his sister Margaret Love and her husband Les, and his brother John and wife Tammy Ramirez. Due to the current circumstances and a desire to promote health and wellness, Louis’s Life Celebration will not be scheduled at this time.
