A devoted member of Grace Community Baptist Church, Louis was active in numerous church activities. He loved to prepare meals for congregants and would often be found joyfully singing alongside his fellow parishioners, embodying the spirit of fellowship and support.

The world will be a bleaker place without Louie in it, but I'm sure Charle and Pod met him at the gate. It's been a while since I've seen you, but I'm going to miss you old friend. Thank you for everything. Especially the laughs and all the unsolicited advice and nuggets of wisdom.

We are so sorry to hear Louis has passed. He was here when we moved into the neighborhood over 20 years ago. He was a strong family man. Every time we passed his house, we looked to see if he was out, and he always had a wave. It's a little thing, but that's what we'll miss; it'll be a long time before we stop looking for him as we pass. After the second flood (Imelda) we rode in the back of a dump truck from the 365 overpass with Louis, his son, Zachary, and their basset hound, Charlie, with what stuff we boated out with. The dump truck dropped us off at sanctuary, the Ross's church Grace Community Church. God Bless and keep your family and loved ones in His hands always
