Lovey D. Barron, 75, of Nederland passed away on December 14, 2012, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. She was born on August 1, 1937, in Eunice, LA, to the late Tony Fontenot and Inez Manuel Fontenot. Lovey has been an area resident since 1945, and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and she was a homemaker.Lovey is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by daughters Diana Bailey and husband Joe Rhonda Duhon and husband Pat son, Craig Champeaux brother, Dale Fontenot and wife Roylene grandchildren Ashley Halter, Austin Halter, Blake Phillips, Trey Halter and Angela Gill.Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Melancons Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland with Rev. Patrick Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be on Monday, December 17, 2012, from 5:00 8:00 p.m at the funeral home.

Its been one year and five months scene I have felt you or heard your voice. I just want you to know how much you are missed there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you so mom you were so correct all the times you said " your going to miss me when I'm gone." I miss you so very much. I can not wait to see you again. You were the funniest person even when you were not trying to be funny. Your spirit was so bubbly and you were so kind to people. I am so glad that I came an stayed with you and spend the time you had left on this earth with you. I would have had more re greats if I had not. It coast me my marriage." Maybe that was a blessing" I know one thing I was shocked when Joe did me like he did when I lost you. I guess you never know anyone. But that is when I knew it was time to go and not look back. So I did and I am happier now. If I could only talk to you and smell you. Mom I am so much like you, sometimes its nice because I fill like your with me. Oh well... Just wanted to let you know I miss you so much!
