Lucene Baldree Westmoreland August 1, 1939 December 11, 2014 Lucene Baldree Westmoreland was born August 1, 1939 in Sabine County, Texas to James Loma Baldree and Lou-t Kerr Baldree. She passed away December 11, 2014 in Beaumont, Texas following a lengthy illness. Lucene married Jimmy Dean Westmoreland on June 10, 1960 in Rosevine, Texas. They were married for 54 years and parents to four children and nine grandchildren. Lucene and Jimmy made Groves, Texas their home for the last 47 years. Lucene studied Home Economics at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for the former Tupperware Distributor in Beaumont, Texas. Lucene was a very talented seamstress and quilter. Her children and grandchildren cherish the quilts she made for them over the years. She owned Fashion Fabrics in Port Neches, Texas for many years until the early 1990's when she retired as a business owner. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren immensely and was always happiest when she had them home with her. Lucene is survived by her husband, Jimmy of Groves, Texas; son and daughter-in-law Charles Michael Westmoreland and wife Stacy of Groves; son and daughter-in-law Loma Westmoreland and wife Tracy of North Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Allen Stroud of Hutto, Texas; and daughter and son-in-law Elisa and Frank Breuer of Groves, Texas. She is survived by sister Jeanette Davidson of San Augustine, Texas and her grandchildren; Levi Westmoreland of Houston, Texas; Russell Lyon and his wife Erin of Byron Center, Michigan; Kelly Westmoreland of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Mitchell Westmoreland of North Little Rock, Arkansas; Rebecca Graves of Lubbock, Texas; Caleb Westmoreland of Groves, Texas; Hannah Breuer of Boomer, North Carolina; and Taylor and Tanner Breuer of Groves, Texas. Lucene was also survived by many nieces and nephews and five great grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Joe Worley and Reverend Charles Miller officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. at Rosevine Cemetery in Rosevine, Texas.
