Lucille Gray

Lucille "Paperdoll" Gray, 90 of Groves, Texas passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013. Lucille was born July 9, 1923 in Hill County, Texas to John Gray and Nettie Valentine Sevier Gray. She was a lifelong area resident and member of Ridgewood Church. She retired from Texaco after working many years in the Lubing and Grease Plant. Survivors include her two sisters, Elsie Frederick of Groves and Thelma Wilkerson of Cleburne; one brother, Rudolph Gray and wife Lettie Lou of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Dustin Guidry officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends wishing to make memorial contributions may send them to their charity of choice.

I was very sorry to hear about Paperdoll. I did not know her very well but, in Jan., 1972, I started working in the P&S department at Texaco. I met her in the Grease Plant. I remember how she was always nice and had a nice smile all of the time. May she rest in peace.
