Lucy Choate Ginaldi, 66, of Fannett passed away, Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Lucy was born February 19, 1955 in Port Arthur to the late Ardly Joseph Choate and Doris Christine Hopkins Choate Stelly. She retired as an Ex-ray Technician in the Medical Field for many years. Lucy was a loving mother, “Nanna”, sister, aunt, niece, and friend to all she met. She was fun, young hearted, serious, sarcastic, and a friend to everyone. She was an avid animal lover as she was known for sheltering strays until she could get them adapted. Lucy could whip up a great meal faster than a heartbeat, one of her favorites being Italian pasta with shrimp. Lucy and Gia, 2 peas in a pod in a lot of ways, were not only a mother/daughter team but they were great friends. Little Colt brought a new meaning to Lucy’s life. He loved staying with his “Nanna” and he adored her. Our family will never be the same again but Lucy will forever be in our hearts. We know she’s in the loving arms of Jesus and getting reacquainted with Marco. Rest in peace our precious Lucy. You will be loved by your family forever.
Lucy is survived by her daughter, Gia Habetz and her husband Hunter of Silsbee; her son, Joel Ginaldi and his wife Kathryn of Macon, Georgia; her grandchildren, Colt, Emmett and Indy Habetz also Jack, Georgia and Luca Ginaldi; her sisters Judy Burris and her husband Jerry of Fannett, Audra Bennett and her husband Jeff od Fannett; her brothers, Jim Choate and his partner Daniel of Round Top, David Stelly of Houston and Brian Stelly of Fannett; also, several nieces and nephews.
