Lucy Marie Beaumont Smith, 86, of Jasper, Texas formerly of Groves passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Avalon Nursing Home in Kirbyville, TX. Lucy was born November 9, 1926 in Groves, Texas to Walter Lee Beaumont and Minnie Albers Beaumont. She was a lifelong area resident and retired secretary from Gulf States Utilities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh V. Smith; brothers, Carl H. Beaumont, Sam L. Beaumont and Dirk A. Beaumont. Survivors include two daughters, Gail Smith and husband Mike Streadl of Conroe, TX, Pamela Smith Kirchner and husband, Carl Matte of Lake Charles, LA; two sons, Wesley Smith and wife, Jan of Livingston, TX, Kent Smith and wife, Gayl of Jasper, TX; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 9, 2013 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Beverly Tune officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
