Lydia Lozano

1922 ∼ 2013

Lydia Lozano, 91, of Port Arthur passed away on August 11, 2013 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. She was born on May 22, 1922 in Snyder, Texas to the late Almado Macias and Gaberia Madrid Macias. She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur, and a member of Port Acres United Pentecostal Church.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Port Acres United Pentecostal Church, 2725 FM 365, Port Arthur, TX 77640, with Rev. Anton Smikel and Pastor Darrell McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of the family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland.

Lydia is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lozano, Sr.; daughters, Delores Elkins and Sarah Lozano Landry; sons, Johnny Lozano, Michael Lozano, Sr., and Oscar Lozano, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Hortence Townsend and husband, James, Sr. of Harrisonburg, LA; Linda Trevino and husband, Carlos of Nederland; Rosie Broussard and husband Randy of Port Acres and Elizabeth East and her husband Billy of Fannett; son, David Lozano of Port Acres; 29 Grandchildren; 47 Great-Grandchildren; and 4 Great-great-grandchildren.
