My fondest memories of Aunt Lylia - her quick wit, her fantastic memory and her love of antiques. The saying "one man's junk is another man's treasure" was definitely her motto. Creating beautiful things from someone's discards always amazed me. My love to all -

Know we all understand and are praying for each of you. Aunt Lylia was always a ray of sunshine for me - she was stylist but frugal and never cared much for what others thought. The last opportunity I had to spend time with her was when she was visiting Dallas with Matlock and LaVerne Rose. Lylia had on a pair of gold ballet flats and I commented on how stylish she looked in them. She leaned over and told me she'd spray painted an old, scruffy pair of shoes and these were the result! So resourceful! I chuckle every time I remember it! Love and blessings to you all.
