Mable Nell Handel, 92, of Nederland passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020. Mable was born in Port Arthur January 5, 1928 to the late Burt Lee Sr. and Murtis Morgan Lee. She retired from PAISD where she work as the secretary to the principal for many years at Thomas Jefferson High School. She was an avid member of the Red Hussar Drum Bugle Corps.

Mable is survived by her son, Gary Handel and his wife Roxane of Broaddus; her four grandchildren, Shanna Gough, Mandy McMichael, Barrett Handel and Raven Broussard; her sister, Cloris Mosier and her husband Darnell of Round Rock; her nieces, Cindy Ja, Christy James and Allison Nixon and her husband Paul; her nephew Burt Lee III; her daughter-in-law Vicki Handel. She is preceded in death by her parents also her husband Ralph Handel and her son Glenn Handel.

The family wishes to have a private service to honor their mother.
