Madeleine Theresa Mullins, 85, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 in Beaumont, Texas. Madeleine was born in Port Arthur, Texas on February 25, 1936 to the late, Hilliard Jerome Brown and Nora Nacol Brown.

Madeleine was a 1955 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, a homemaker and a member of Memorial Church of Christ. She always spoke in such a sweet, loving and soft voice, she loved surprises and enjoyed going on adventures.

Those left to cherish Madeleine’s memory include her children, Keith Mullins and his wife, Karen of Buna, Texas, Jeff Mullins of Vidor, Texas, Tammy Locke and Leonard Covington of Lumberton, Texas, Rob Mullins and his wife, Sherry of Nederland, Texas; sister, Gertrude Mary Landry and her husband, Emmett; brother, Wheliam “Billy” James Brown; grandchildren, Joshua Mullins and his wife, Meagan, Hillary Nyert and her husband, Matthew, Jacob Mullins and his wife, Kacie, Lucas Mullins, Colton Mullins and his wife, Macy, Phillip Locke, JoEllen Wheeler and her husband, Jonathan, Meagan Mullins and Mary Bethalynn Mullins; great-grandchildren Kirk Mullins, Evelyn Mullins, Zöe Nyert, Zeke Nyert and Jameson Wheeler.

In addition to her parents, Madeleine is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest Lane Mullins and great-granddaughter, Kate Nyert.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. with Mr. Jeff Trahan, officiant. Burial will follow at Fellowship Cemetery in Warren, Texas.
