Madeline Carol Papania

Madeline Carol Papania, 64, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on May 21, 2014 at her residence. She was born on November 28, 1949 in Port Arthur to the late Dave Moore and Hazel Welch Moore. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and was a homemaker.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, May 26, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland with Rev. Rick Irwin officiating. A gathering of the family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Sunday, May 25, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Madeline is survived by her son, Tommy Smith and his wife, Johnna of Nederland; brother, Calvin Moore of Port Arthur; grand-daughter, Carlee Smith of Nederland; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Joyce Wistner and Jeanie Trahan; and brother, Timothy Moore.
