Marcus Gene Bourland

Marcus Gene Bourland, 90, of Groves, Texas, passed away on January 14, 2022, in Round Rock, Texas.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Officiating will be Mr. Joseph Lee of Gulf Avenue Church of Christ in Groves. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.

Born in Slaton, Texas, on May 20, 1931, He was the son of Marcus Irving Bourland and Minnie Pearl Smith Bourland. Marcus resided in the area for 58 years and worked as a warrant officer for the Texas National Guard for 42 years. He proudly served in the United States National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus Irving Bourland and Pearl Bourland and son, Joe Bourland.

Marcus is survived by his wife of 70 years, Patsy Bourland of Groves, TX, daughter and son-in-law Frances and Ron Perkins of Katy, TX, daughter and son-in-Law Paula and Chris Wright of Orange, TX, son and daughter-in-law Mark and Patty Bourland of Round Rock, TX, grandson Terry Osborn and Wife, Sarah Osborn of Houston, TX, granddaughter Tiffany Kana and husband, Tim Kana of Katy, TX, granddaughter Jill Forsythe and husband, John Forsythe of Groves, TX, grandson Clay Herndon and wife, Pam Herndon of Orange, TX, grandson Brian Herndon and fiancee Nicole Hebert of Orangefield, TX, grandson Rick Bourland of Round Rock, TX and Jennifer Bourland of Georgetown, TX; great-grandchildren, Sofia and Gabrielle Osborn of Houston; Ty Kana of Lubbock; Taylor Kana of Katy; Kainen Bilbo of Dallas; Cameron Bilbo of Orange; Joshua Forsythe of San Antonio; Jacob Forsythe of Groves; Chase and Alyssa Herndon of Orange; Dylan Herndon of Lumberton; Haley Herring and Chase Peacock of Orange; Gavin Scott of Beaumont; Miranda Adams of Houston; Colby Adams and Fiancee Ceara Bindl of Pflugerville and great-great grandchild Leia Bell of Orange.
