We all loved "Miss Molly", and she loved all people who came to the Windmill Museum. She will be deeply missed, as she was really "A Big Part of what made the museum what it is today".

Condolences on your loss ... Molly was one of the most enthusiastic and alive people I ever knew; her passing is a loss for everyone who knew her. My main memories of Molly are from Folklife Festival days. She was one of those people who could work tirelessly and still seem to treat everything like a game to be enjoyed rather than a task to be completed. She was a great woman.

Molly was a treasure to our town. She told the story of Nederland to several generations and excited many children's curiosity and love for our Dutch heritage and history during her long tenure at the Windmill Museum. We will always remember "our" beloved Margaretha "Molly" Beenen.

My condolences to the Beenen family. Your mother was a great friend to the Flohr family and we visited quite often and also during later years at the Windmill in Nederland. She was a grand & funny lady who I admired and loved.
