Margie A. Eickenhorst Kasper, 86, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Margie was born June 15, 1932 in Port Arthur, Texas to Walter H. Eickenhorst and Lena Schkade Eickenhorst. She was a lifelong Port Arthur resident and member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Margie retired from J. C. Penney after 40 years of service as a sales representative. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Keith Kasper and his wife Carol Kasper. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Gilbert Kasper of Port Arthur; son, Michael Paul Kasper and wife Sharon of Nacogdoches; brothers, Kenneth Eickenhorst and wife Ruth of San Antonio, Ernest Eickenhorst and wife Caroline of Nederland, Dr. Julius Eickenhorst and wife Susan of Austin; grandchildren, Paula Kasper Gipson and husband Robert of Nacogdoches, Phil Kasper and wife Amanda of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Alicia, Arianna, Wesley, Justin, and Destiny Gipson. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 12:00 noon, Friday, August 3, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Groves followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Timothy Dinger officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
