Marguerite Jackson, 89, of Nederland, Texas passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas. Marguerite was born September 16, 1923 in Starks, Louisiana to Amarjan M. Granger and Altha Johnson Granger. She was a 65 year area resident and retired from Park Place Hospital as a licensed vocational nurse after 15 years of service. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Nederland. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2013 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Dr. Jason Burden officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. Jackson. Survivors include two sons, Terry Jackson and wife, Darlene of Nederland, TX; Greg Jackson and wife, Lynn of Port Arthur, TX; one brother, Elwood "Frank" Granger and wife, Wanda of Starks, LA; four grandchildren, Ryan Jackson, David Jackson, Joshua Kibbe, Virginia Wendt and husband, Jason; two great-grandchildren, Justin Wendt, and Jorden Wendt.
