Marie "Manette" Daigle, 88, of Port Arthur passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. She was born on October 28, 1925 in Loreauville, Louisiana to Adalbert and Amelie Broussard Crochet. Manette had lived in Port Arthur for over 70 years and was a member of the Catholic faith and a homemaker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves with Reverend J.C. Coon officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with a rosary service to begin at 5:30 p.m. Manette was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Daigle, daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Robert Rhoades, grandson, Jason Fabacher Daigle, sister, Alberta Crochet, and brothers, Rome, Clet, and Dudley Crochet. She is survived by her daughter, Paula Sheppard and husband, Glenn of Groves, three sons, Ken Daigle and wife, Bonnie of Florida, Michael Daigle and wife, Darlene of Buna, and Robert Daigle and wife, Darla of Port Arthur, sister, Cecile Crochet of Port Arthur, two brothers, Robert Crochet and wife, Grace of Montgomery, and Jean H. Crochet and wife, Eunice of Groves, fifteen grandchildren and thirty six great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
