Marie Killian

Marie Killian, 89, of Nederland, passed away on Wednesday, May 03, 2017 in Port Arthur, TX. Marie was born on November 7, 1927 in Doddridge, Arkansas to the late Bert Parker and Maude Chandler Parker. She was and will always be the matriarch of our family. Marie worked for Stanley Home Products as a Sales Representative and was well known in the area as “The Stanley Lady”.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Sharon Dobson of Houston, TX; sons, Alan Killian and wife, Debra and Steve Killian and wife, Linda both of Nederland, TX; grandchildren, Chris Kirchmer, Sarah Mitchell, Michael Mellema, Chelsea Carlin, Zachary Killian, Cristyn Killian, Craig Killian and Jonathan Killian; great-grandchildren, Kate Kirchmer, Ella Mitchell, Claire Mitchell, Trevin Sonnier, Brianna Carlin, Austin Randall, Marissa Carlin, Mia Carlin, Annabelle Lea Redding and Jaxon Culbertson; great-great-grandchild, Addie Sonnier. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon Killian; grandson, Rev. Clint Dobson; son-in-law, Rod Dobson; grandson-in-law, Rob Mitchell.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service starting at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Phil Sigmon officiating, at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, TX. The interment will be at Memory Gardens in Nederland, TX.
